Peter Weighill's Biography

IMG_3258.JPG

First and foremost, he's an animal lover, but also a British expat born in Liverpool in 1972, who's been living in Spain since 2001.

"In the north of England they think I'm a southerner, in the south they think I'm a northerner...  here in Spain I'm simply the Guiri... (the fair skinned foreigner)... and I'm fine with that."

After two years as a junior stockbroker in Liverpool, he left to study a degree in finance, and then a masters in international finance.

"I think the job I learnt the most from was washing dishes at a French Brasserie..."

He's always engaged in creative writing and visual arts and especially enjoys watercolour painting.

"Follow your passions and your talents. Don't undervalue the things that come easily to you, and work hard to pursue them."

The Prophecy of Mozart is Peter's debut novel. It was inspired by the death of his labrador dog in 2016. Woven into the story is a mobile application called The BottleApp Messenger. Combining business experience with creative talents, Peter teamed up with three of Spain's leading Animal Sanctuary Foundations. Their mobile application is in development and they hope it will go on to raise significant amounts of money for Animal Welfare.

"We are trying to take animal welfare

to the heart of Silicon Valley. Please support us."
